From a store URL to a change you can act on.
Six steps, all of them automatic after the first. StorePulse reads only what a shopper can see, remembers it precisely, and tells you when it moves.
What happens after you paste a URL.
- STEP 01
Paste a public store URL
Add any Shopify storefront by its domain. StorePulse confirms it is a Shopify store, reads its robots.txt, and discovers the public surface from there: the product catalog and every variant, collections, pages, blog posts, and the storefront's sitemaps.
There is nothing to install and no store owner to ask. If a store already has watchers, you join the existing scan instead of starting a duplicate.
- STEP 02
Get a clean baseline
The first successful scan becomes the starting point. Instead of flooding you with hundreds of “new product” events, it is recorded once as a baseline you can browse: current prices, compare-at prices, availability, collection order, page copy, and SEO metadata.
Every scan also captures full-page previews of the storefront at a desktop viewport, and at a phone viewport on Entrepreneur and Team, so a later change can be seen, not only read.
- STEP 03
Scans run on your plan's cadence
Solopreneur rescans every watched store every three days; Entrepreneur and Team rescan daily. Any plan can trigger a scan on demand from the dashboard.
Entrepreneur and Team can also pin priority products — 10 and 50 respectively — for hourly price and stock checks, which is how a launch-day price cut or a sell-out is caught within the hour.
- One identifiable crawler with a contact address; robots.txt enforced before every request.
- Bounded concurrency, delays, conditional requests and backoff, so a scan is lighter than a person browsing.
- One scan per store shared across every workspace watching it: less traffic for the merchant, no duplicate work for you.
- STEP 04
Pages become records; records become events
Each page is normalized into stable, source-aware records keyed on the store's own identifiers, so a renamed handle or a reordered image is not mistaken for a new product. Timestamp churn, tracking parameters, and boilerplate are filtered before comparison.
What survives is compared to the previous record and written as a plain-language event with a type and an impact level: PRICE_DECREASED with the old and new amount, DISCOUNT_STARTED with the compare-at price, SOLD_OUT for a variant, COLLECTION_PRODUCT_MOVED for a merchandising reshuffle, SEO_CHANGED for a rewritten title tag.
- STEP 05
Alerts arrive on your terms
Every workspace gets a daily email digest at the hour you choose. Notification rules narrow it further: pick the stores, the change types — new product, price up or down, sale started or ended, sold out, back in stock — and the minimum impact you care about.
On Entrepreneur and Team, rules can also send immediately, so a qualifying change is in your inbox as soon as the scan finds it rather than in tomorrow's summary.
- STEP 06
Read, compare, export — or just ask
The dashboard keeps the whole change history for as long as your plan remembers, with product-level price history charts, best-seller rank movement per collection, before-and-after page previews, and CSV export for anything you want in a spreadsheet or a deck.
Team workspaces can connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client and ask in plain language which competitors dropped prices this week, or what changed on one store in the last three days.
Your first baseline is one URL away.
Start with the competitor you check most often. Plans from $29 a month; see pricing.
